I am a multi-media journalist at Spectrum News 1 in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am a general assignment MMJ working at my third station.

 

I started in Charlotte in November of 2020. Prior to Spectrum News 1,

I worked for WLTX in Columbia, SC and WMAZ in Macon, Georgia.

 

While in South Carolina, I covered the State House session from January to May, then focused on breaking news, news of the day, and some investigative pieces. 

 

In 2018 with WLTX, I was sent to the South Carolina coast to report on Hurricane Florence and its impact to the Palmetto State. During the weeklong trip, I did dozens of live reports, packages, look lives, and social media reports not only for WLTX, but also all of TEGNA.

 

Later during my stay, I broke a major story on Richland County’s millions in misspent public penny tax dollars, leading to immediate changes and reforms to the program. Also, I reported and investigated on the Columbia Public Housing crisis, which resulted in the deaths of two residents.

 

In my two years in Macon, Georgia, I covered a wide variety of news stories important to Houston County in our DMA, as well as relevant military and political stories impacting Robins Air Force Base.

 

In the fall of 2016, I covered a campaign stop and interviewed then-candidate Mike Pence. While with WMAZ, I also played a role in breaking the news of the second arrest in the Tara Grinstead missing
